About the Artist

Denise Lancaster is a creative professional that serves as both a freelance & commission artist to clientele.  Originally from Cleveland, Ohio currently residing in Columbus, Ohio her painting style explores very erratic & expressive gesture-like brush strokes. She begins a piece very spontaneously and becomes more detailed as the composition starts to reveal itself.  She creates luxurious watercolor paintings for both residential & commercial spaces.

Through these creative means of expression, she focuses on the richness of her subject matter and uses her creativity by expressing her unique view of the world through watercolor pigments on thick textured watercolor paper.  Loose detailed brush marks & earth tone palettes apply a soft touch to her paintings, and are eye-catching.  Lancaster’s paintings are a visual journal of her personal journey hidden within the paper, and a lovely reflection of the beauty and splendor of our natural world.
